While in reserve in 1952,  the battalion was assembled to view and hear a lecture about all the CCF weapons that had been captured. Many of the weapons were Russian built.

Lt. Allen and Pfc Yum Sic while in reserve in 1952. Lt. Allen, a combat veteran of WWII, was the company Reconnaissance Officer when I joined the company. The weapons company reconnaissance officer is the Executive Officer and with a primary duty to determine the best positions for the company weapons to support the rifle companies. Lt. Allen was assigned to battalion headquarters when I became commander. Yum Sic was a KATUSA soldier used primarily as an interpreter.

Lt. Burgess,  Sgt. Martin,  Lt. McKeever, in Happy Valley. These three M Company soldiers visited me when I was K Company CO in the area behind Outpost Dick. From this location a heavy machinegun was temporarily employed using indirect fire on the CCF Outpost Charlie.
