24 Dec

Dear Folks:
Well, I have just about stopped rolling. I am now sitting in a replacement depot about 6 miles outside of Seoul.

I got off the boat at Pusan about 7 or 8 AM yesterday morning. We were loaded on buses and bused out to a replacement depot outside of Pusan. We were then loaded on a train about 6:00 PM.

We rode all night and got into here about 7:00 this morning.

From what I have seen of this place we are wasting our time fighting for it. I don’t think they could give it away.

Just had a shower. It is a real experience. They use the city water here and there isn’t enough pressure to run a shower so the(y) pipe it into a tank first. You go in and lather up, then the tank runs dry. You then wait for it to fill up, then wash the suds off. It is kind of cold waiting, however. I got my assignment here. I will be assigned to the 3rd Inf. Div. My address should be, until I come home,
