Korean War Armistice Day Ceremony

I received this email from Monika Stoy, our new associate member, forwarded by Jerry Cunnigham to let people know that a memorial marking the 54th anniversary of the Korean War Armistice is happening at the National Mall in Washington DC at 1000 hours on 27 July 2007.

This is what I know about the ceremony so far.  I have spoken to Mr. Reiner and he invited me to a final planning meeting on 5 July at the Springfield American Legion Outpost, right next to where I live.  I will pass on whatever further information I learn after the meeting. 
 
If you could get this information out to our Korean War vets and other interested members through the Society it would be great.
 
The 54th Anniversary of the Armistice ending the Korean War will be marked with a ceremony on the National Mall in Washington, DC at 1000 on 27 July 2007.  Musical prelude will be offered at 0900 by the Veterans Memorial Band. 
 
Presentations by government and military personnel will highlight the program organized by the Korean War Armistice Day Committee.  Veterans and Service organizations are invited to participate.
