The OPHSA 16th Annual Reunion, 2007

Members and guests attended the 16th annual reunion of the Outpost Harry Survivors Association held from June 14th through June 17th at the Columbus North Holiday Inn.  Many arrived before the reunion, and stayed afterward making sightseeing trips in the historic Columbus GA area.

Audio Files - The audio files are password protected and are in two formats, wma and mp3.  The wma is a Microsoft format.  The mp3 files are more universal, and will work with an Apple computer.

Thursday - June 14, 2007

• Welcome Reception -- Following individual registrations, members gathered for a reception in the Azalea room where the group was called to order for a moment of silence to honor our Armed Forces and OPHSA deceased Comrades.  

• Bus tour of Fort Benning -- A guided tour of the Fort Benning Infantry Museum, with a lunch at the Fort Benning Club.  
  
  
• Evening Hospitality Room -- The hospitality room was open for relaxed socialization

• Memorial Service -- Each year during the reunion a special memorial service is held honoring fallen comrades.  
  
  
• Business Meeting -- President Jerry Lang conducted the membership meeting. Following the invocation given by Chaplain Ed Hanrahan, the prior minutes and financial reports by Secretary Treasurer E. Douglas Jones showed the association to be liquid were approved. The usual business matters were quickly covered.  The elected officers term of office was lengthened from one to two years, was proposed and approved. President Jerry Lang will continue to serve his second term and no change was made to the Vice President.  Plans for the next reunion, to be held in Seattle Washington, were discussed.

Sunday Morning - June 16, 2007

• Farewell Breakfast -- An informal Sunday-morning breakfast concluded the reunion.
