Fort Stewart NCO Academy

A quick game helps pass the time on the road.

Time to look out the window at the Georgia pines as we roll through the countryside on our way to Fort Stewart..

Martin Markley's grandson Kyle takes advantage of the chance to catch a quick nap while the bus rolls down the road.

As we stepped off our buses at Fort Stewart's NCO Academy we were met by an army photographer.  Things have changed a lot, for the better,  in the last 50 years.

We were treated to a rousing rendition of "I'm just a dog faced soldier" by this group of NCOs on our arrival.

The photographers, both professional and amateur, close in.

The tour of the NCO training facility starts with an orientation by the NCO Academy's Commandant, Command Sergeant Major Albert Newton.  It was a hot day and the shade was welcome.
